One of the main reasons people host live webinars is to grow their email list. Live webinars can increase your list just like giving away a free eBook or report. The difference is that webinars will attract a lot more people much faster than promoting a free eBook.
A webinar is more personal in nature and gives your audience a chance to interact with you; the expert. You can literally reach hundreds or even thousands of people at one time with a live webinar. You can host them from the comfort of your home, hotel room or wherever you may be. You can host them for free or for a fee; it’s up to you and depends on your goals. If you want to expand your reach, start hosting free webinars now.
Here are 7 ways that you can use webinars to grow your business.
7 ways to use webinars to grow your business. Share on X1. Free Webinars
I mentioned this above but I want to bring it up again. Hosting a free webinar will get more registrants than hosting a paid webinar, which means more people on your email list. Your email list is the best place to market to people, but since it takes time to convert people, webinars are a great way to start.
2. Joint Ventures
Partner up with up one or more individuals and host a webinar together. The more experts on the webinar, the less work it is for you. Plus you can all take advantage of marketing to each other’s lists.
3. Collecting Registrants Information
For every single webinar that you host, require at least an email address with an opt-in form so that you can send them future emails about your products and/or services. The majority of the people will be fine with at least providing a first name and email, but don’t make them jump through too many hoops. Make the sign-up process as simple as possible, you can always gather more information in the future.
4. Provide Value
A great way to attract more clients is to teach your audience something, give them a taste of what you have to offer. If you are a web designer, you can demonstrate to your audience how easy it is to use WordPress to design their website. Believe it or not, many people will still decide to hire you over doing it themselves. Even though you just taught them exactly how to do it.
5. Demo Your Products and/or Services
Use live webinars to demonstrate how your products and/or services can solve the problems of your audience. If you can show them by using case studies and live demonstrations, you’ll get more believers who are willing to spend their money.
6. Expand Credibility
You can interview experts and current or former clients/customers live on the webinar to help expand your credibility with your audience. When they meet people that you’ve helped, they’ll be more likely to trust you and invest in your products and/or services.
7. Record Your Webinars
One great thing about hosting live webinars is the ability to record them and reuse them. Once you record the webinar once you can use it over and over again. You can do a lot of things with your webinar recording. You could send the recording out to your list for free, you could up-sell it or turn all your webinars into an evergreen product. The skies the limit.

Hi Danielle, I think webinars would be the perfect opportunity for me to grow my list and provide value at the same time. My question is, is there a process for going about gathering partners who may be interested in allowing to provide them with content for a webinar?
Is this something a VA can do? I assume you’d have to build up relationships first with that partner by perhaps commenting and following them…?
Yes, it would be a great opportunity for your Mark. I would suggest connecting with people you already know in your network and then go from there.
